I was going to say the same thing. You're still within 30 miles of the dock when your bluefin fishing. My advice to you would be never go to the canyons. After you hook that big eye or experience a simultaneous 8 rod knockdown, you'll be done bluefin fishing, and you'll be a full fledged freak like me.

Guilty of this on many occassions.

Believe me we would be going for a "whale watch" if she wasn't 9 months pregnant. I don't need to be making a baby delivery on the SWC in front of you clowns.

More addicting and more expensive than Crack.

That is the name of my next boat btw, "Afflicted."

Wow, i didn't think there was anyone out there that felt the same as I do.

Mirror image except i am in NJ. This week has been unbearable at work trying to put together a crew to run to the 30 for these 150# fish.

What else is there to do???

Great read my brotha from anotha motha. Atleast you have folks at work that talk about fishing. My guys here think half my stories are illusions. I don't even share half the stories.

I recently have had two little ones. One is 3 the other 1 and a few. It changes things a bit. The inshore game with my three year old has shown me a new appreciation for my "roots". I still chase tuna quite often. I hope you chose the right one who will allow it.

In life we need moderation, in truth that requires us to moderate moderation itself to balance it all out.

Best of luck with the new one!

she would have plenty of "motivation" from other captains if she popped out the baby on stellwagon and you would be able to use the excuse when the baby has its birthday that you can take he/she out to he/she's birthplace

It is pretty tough to get through the day at work, being able to look out the garage windows and seeing a fleet of tuna boats coming and going. Thank god for the two days off a week. Only two more days of hell and hopefully saturday I will be on the water if I can find a ride.........
