You will be fishing not working no need for wireless internet. I am an IT Engineer and when I fish my phone gets turned off and there is no IT involved except for the onboard electronics..........

try the coffee shop

there is a small coffee shop in the center. That seems to be the trendy thing for some reason? Go for coffee with a laptop? I know most Starbucks have it, as well as Border bookstores. Id just drive through town slow, and watch for your laptop to pick up a a signal?

Your right. I'd like to connect mainly to get the marine weather info and read fishing reports from here. However, impossible to turn off the phone. I am in the Intl wood trading business and can't be off for long !

I know there's no signal out there. No problem to be off for a while but once back to the dock, no choice to respond to messages ! This is the lot of salesman working on commission basis...

I know I was just giving you the business. My phone actually stays on and I get signal almost everywhere..... But I only answer the important calls using the caller ID or let them go to VM and see if it is urgent before interrupting my fishing. I am sure there is a place close by that has an unsecured wireless AP that you can connect to just do as was stated and turn on your laptop and drive around looking if you can't find a cafe with internet.
