After driving to MyrtleBeach,SC for Christmas with my family,I realized that,yes,I was indeed stupid enough to drive onward to Florida,in searcg of a tarpon.While I did get a small tarpon in Miami on the morning of Jan.31,I couldn't manage a photo,as I was alone,and adrenalized,and tired.
However,on my first night in Fla,I managed to catch my first ever red drum.I'm still kinda on cloud nine about it.I was at Sebastian inlet on the Southside catwalk,using a very fresh mullet head,on the bottom.Florida rules!

Thanks guys.The fight was a lot stronger than a bass.This guy made a bunch of blistering runs,and took half the line from a Nautil 7500.Makes bass feel like fluke.
