I hear ya... I hate reading myself. I am curious as to what people say. 5 of the probably no more than 10 books I have read my whole life are fishing related. Of the 5 three are directly related to Bluefin. I read ever word of "Fish the Chair if you Dare," which was cool because the first person I tuna fished with, fished side by side with the author, "Zane Grey's tales of swordfish and Tuna," and "The Trophy Bluefin," which was more about the industry and harpooning rather than rod and reel fishing, but was still a good read. I hope someone has a good suggestion that I haven't mentioned, I think those three are the "standard."

The series is still going on. It's up to six parts.

For what it's worth, I meant Giant Bluefin, not trophy bluefin in my original reply.

I think I may check out the book aloop posted about.

I read Giant Tuna several times and reffered back to it even more, the problem with this book was if you were not involved in this fishery somehow you would never understand it! If you knew about the harpoon and seiner fisheries or any of the names, esp during the early '90s, then it's a interesting read. After I read the book the 1st time I regreted not taking the offered job with one of the big named tuna fisherman from the Cape during the late '90's.
