What are you guys using for shark hooks?

When I started out fishing for sharks I always used the standard mustad j hooks.a couple years ago I was fishing over by the horns and went to set the hook on a shark that seamed hell bent on running to Bermuda with my hook in its mouth I gave the rod three hard strikes pole bent over and that was it hook never found its mark.I now use circle hooks and every time to date I throw the strike up and start cranking on a running fish the hook is always lodged in the corner of the mouth and it ain't coming out.
