    What would you do?

I'm trying to plan my first tuna trip this season, leaving from Boston. I'll probably start mid-bank and work my way south. It's easy to get crew for the weekend, but the E wind in the forecast makes me skeptical. Monday looks great, but I'd have to take a day off and get others to do the same. Is the "wind from the east, fish bite the least" thing over blown? Is my previous experience out on the Bank with east wind = washing machine incorrect? Should I just bite the bullet, take Monday off, and beg, bribe, or strongarm some friends to do the same? What would you do?

    Wink Take the day off!

Take the day off on Monday and tell your friends " even a bad day of fishing is STILL BETTER than your best day at work"

Thanks for the replies guys... I was leaning towards Monday, obviously, and for all the reasons stated. Guess I wanted some confirmation.

I wish I could fish both days, but the trek from Boston down to likely PHB and back will run me around $600 - $800 in gas alone, so I need to be selective.

Is that zzzzzzzz the sound of you snorring when sleeping in, or the sound of your drag on a full moon fever bite?
