here is a list of some of the things I will be working into my bag of tricks - that I have learned from everyone else.

not puke all season
faster catch time for better releasing of BFT.
Fly fish for BFT
Micro drifting for cod.
sharking - Mako
new 19' outriggers with 2 halyards each
Fish more of Taylors bars more regularly
wind on leaders
making my own topshots and wind on leaders
kite fishing
remembering to clean a fish hold before I put the boat in the baking sun for 4 weeks. DEAR GOD!!!!!!
rigging and using my squid lighting system
more sleepovers with my son on the boat
that is enough for now.

I'll be attempting to keep live bait all season for the first time. I built the pen over the winter and put it in the water this week. Macks go into it tomorrow morning.

I'll also be using said macks on a kite more often this season, both on the bank and in the river for linesiders (I've never seen anyone doing it and figured why not give it a shot?).

For pump-up music, how about Wagner's Flight of the Valkyies (made famous by the helicopter attack in Apocalypse Now)? Btw, if you hear the opening chords of this over the radio this season, that will be Colonel Kurtz with a fish on the deck .
