Ive done between 30-40 headboat trips w/ Frances Fleet and 7B's. I bring 30 & 50 class setup. both have 130 backing to 80lb topshot, add floro leaders (make 1/2 dozen 6-8' on ride out) and your set. 2 spinning rods, 1 for tuna jigging, other for mahi & bait catching. Boat has what you need, but if you want bring your own. bank sinkers 8, 10, 12 oz, hooks 6/0- 10/0, rubberbands. floro 60-130lb, squid jigs, couple mahi lures, butterfly jigs, 110gram to 300 gram, some trips troll during the day, so a couple single troll lures if they do that, they will set the spread with their own lures unless you supply them for your own setups. I think these are the best trips possible for the $$. You dont worry about anything, just fishing!! 1 piece of advice I can offer. Do NOT be intimidated by any fellow fishermen, sometimes a regular mite tend to think they are owners, and have more rites than others!! I had a bucket of live squid on 1 trip, guy came over and took the hose out of my bucket, and put it in his. That didnt work out too good for him!! Enjoy the trip, alot of good guys, everyone is helpful to the noobies!! Take care of the mates, they bust their balls !!
