As far as the juvenile fish debate this is where i will respectfully have to disagree with your view. There are regulations put in place to "manage" these fish by the powers that be. These regulations are quite clear on the recreational take concerning fish in the 47"-73" size class. I believe that the vast majority of the licensed permit holders abide by these regulations and bag limits. So the beef is not with us who purchase our permits and follow the regulations. The people who you should be yelling at should be those that govern the resource and put forth the bag limits and regulations. You are right, coming onto an internet site and bitchin' is only going to put you square in the cross hairs of someone who has an opposite view to yours and will get you nothing but trouble no matter which camp you are in.

Good post and overall this is actually a productive conservation. My personal problem regarding the whole juvenile issue, is that every person on this site will sit there and say that this fishery has been mismanaged all the way down through the ranks. If that is the case and everyone cares so much about this fishery, then when does common sense kick in and when do people start accounting for their own actions? Sure you have a rec permit and you are entitled to one fish per day but is it really needed to have 100lbs or more of meat laying on the dock after every trip?

I feel pretty strongly that this entire, I'm just following the rules approach, is just plain ignorant. Everyone here seems to be putting forth a solid effort writing emails and making phone calls about the CITIES I just dont understand why that effort does'nt translate into some sort different attitude when on the water.

My definition of Douchebag is one that comes here to shit on another who is out doing whatever it it is that makes THEM and others happy... I already said it before that can be standing in a stream catchin ten inch trout, sittin on some flat some place catchin flounder, maybe catchin 50-100 pound bluefins tickles anothers pickle. Some call sailfish or whites gods gift while others need swords or blue marlin to fill their adrenalin quota.
