Nice report Dan. We were out there Sat. as well and saw many pods coming up and down very quickly.... lost a nice fish to a bad wind-on leader. $10. wind-on, go figure.
Quick question on the Ronz's.... What type of retreive were you using?
I hooked up a three times with a "throw it long and rip it back" retreive. But that was with metals. I threw the Ronz's a few times but could not find the touch.
Were you fishng them with a slow retreive / twitch like you would for bass, were you ripping them through the school or were you using some other magic?
I was with Danny on Sat. Pretty much just cast out and count to 10, close bail and FISH ON... With the frenzy we were in you just had to get it in the middle and you were on....
Years past Casting and burning the lure through the school has worked real well....As well as "Walking the dog" with a surface plug...
Hopefully we will be at it this weekend with a live well full of pogies...
