Now i have to stand in line for this job behind Doug AND Stew? I'm so screwed !!!!
Good luck with the search Capt Greg. I wish i could throw my hat in the ring because someone is going to get a great opportunity to work on some really good boats for some really good guys.
I would like to apply, but we need to get a few things straight right away:
1. I don't like to get up before 9 am. If I am late, wait for me. I will be theresoon enough to catch plenty of fish.
2. I seldom drink beer before noon... it makes me sea sick.
3. I don't ever touch fish. They are too slimey. So the customers won't have my dirty hands on their food.
4. Right now I am 0-4 (zero convictions on four arrests). I guess that is because the guys I beat up deserved it. Just wanted you to know...
5. Customers are no problem. If they give me crap, I will just throw their a$$ overboard
6. The smell of coffee makes me sea sick so if you want coffee, get your own.
7. I am a far better fisherman than anyone you know. So we will do it my way or we will not do it at all. Understood?
8. My assistant mate will clean up the boat. I am way to busy for that crap.
When do I start?
Mike
P.S. On a serious note, this is a good opportunity to break into the business with a team who you can really learn from.... Good luck finding the right guy!!!
Hi Greg - My name is Bryan. I am 23 years old and have quite a bit of experience offshore. I currently live down in Texas and clean up oil spills full time. I am interested in the position and will be sending you a PM right away.
Thanks!
-Your forgotten son
Sounds like a great opportunity for someone. Too bad the timing isnt right for me that cuts into the spring monkfish run. But who needs a mate to whack and stack?? Doug????
I agree with Stew, more money than I make as an owner. Than again we would need ear protection on that boat with all of the yaking on the radio from the owner.
Dave
What a great opportunity for someone, I have never worked on or know much about working on a fleet but that sounds like a darn good wage for a seasonal position. The only experience I have is seeing it on other fleets and fishing on my own F/V. Maybe a career change is in order!
Give thanks and prayers to Kerry!
Stevo
