    Veatch/East

We fished east of Veatch at the no name canyon mostly. Left Saturday early AM and back Sunday. It was not easy fishing and we went 3/4 on YFT and 5-6 Mahi. Nice day on the water, but had to work hard for any results. Weather was deteriorating on Sunday and very hard to get anything going. We had two nice run offs Sunday and one bite off.

The Green G-tec spreader bar was the best performer.

Here are a couple of videos from our last two trips.

outfished us by quite a bit. What time did you pull out of there - I tried hailing you from 10 miles S of Muskegat to give you a heads up of what to expect.

Thanks for the attempted call. We left a couple hours after you I am guessing. We did manage a couple nice hits late at the SE corner of Veatch, but it was starting to kick up.

The Muskeget Channel was pretty ugly on the way home, but we just ran about 16 kts and it was fairly comfortable with the trailing sea.

It was slow fishing but great being out there. We appreciated the shared info and tried to do the same. It seemed like a lot of work not too many fish and no multi hook ups.

I am sure I will see you out there soon.

    Tight lines,
