    Tuna Slam;Bigeye -Canyons-Saturday

After a tough bite in the AM we made a move and found life and a good bite

Went 1-2 and probably 1-3 on nice Bigeyes (1-2 on first bite after a cutoff 20 minutes into fight, most likely from the other BE we boated) Another big runoff on a 70 later in the day felt and acted like another BE,, never know.

The boated bigeye went a good hour beating down the anglers before settling into one corner and producing a stalemate as he worked the corner, decided to back off the drag a bit and bring him to the other corner in the hopes of confusing him and breaking his stride, it seemed to do the job and after 2-3 minutes we gained the edge got him to come up and a POON shot ended his day.

Worked the area hard for few more hours and put a few YFT, couple nice 35Lb Albies and also about a dozen Mahi in the boat coming and going made for a nice "Tuna Slam" and Mahi bonus day.

Great condition day turned a bit late in the afternoon and made for a sporty ride home in the 36 Yellowfin, but still was able to make 32-40Kts with some good air

Good time on a fun boat with good guys.

Congratulations on the BE. Heard you on the radio. We started about the same location but we kept moving east to try to find the break. Spent a couple of hours in deep water where the temp remained constant 76-77. Had a couple knock downs with a blue and white marlin. Didn't last long. Overall pretty slow only boating 3 yft. We were planning on staying but pulled the plug when we heard the updated forecast saturday afternoon. Nice fish.
