    Post Tuna behaving badly!!

So this weekend (Friday to Sunday) we were surrounded by thousands of fish... Every size and every shape. Over the past 6 years, we've built theory after theory on different groups. All the rules were broken this weekend.

    1) Pushing fish under 50lbs won't hit a thing and will push for 2-3 days
-Correction: They blitzed for 10 minutes then would push for 12 hours
    2) Pushing fish over 50lbs are more agressive and will attack a popper or sluggo if you put it in the right spot.
-Correction: After my elbow swelled up red like a tomato from casting for 3 days straight at them...I can tell you they won't attack $hit if they don't wat to
    3) CCB goes off after a dying NW wind!
-Correction: Not this frigin weekend! You could grab them by the tail from your bow but they wouldn't hit a plug that whacked them off the nose!!!

Good news to take from the past 3 days.... The qty of fish from 15lbs to 150lbs is simply awesome! Timing when they fed was difficult. Early mornings were the best but it was short lived. Unlike earlier in the week when it was a cakewalk at 3pm on....

We'll see what's left after this HUGE front comes through. My guess from the bait I see int he harbors is it's gonna be a great late Summer and Fall!

I saw lots of peanuts, about 15-30 pounders airing out just outside Barnstable harbor in 55 feet of water on Saturday. Those little fish are frustrating. We never got close enough for a decent shot at them.

The bite sounds like me wanting to sell all my tuna gear one day and buying more the next

Try some small eels sometime, had a friend striper fishing with eels and the tuna ended up loving them ...

I actually thought of slinging eels to them...like tossing a sluggo with 1000X's the scent!

Mike, got one thursday in the skiff. Little 55'' fish. found a few small schools of fish, not showing up top, but screwing at 10+ mph under birds. They were feeding, cause the birds were coming up with small sand eels. Ended up making one cast the entire evening and hooked up.

They were feeding great and eating anything until Friday. Can't figure out why they stopped?? Boat traffic, HUGE full moon with clear skies so they ate all night is my bet.
