RI "TOGNBOX" Does it Again on Fintage! (PICS!!!) 11-06

Was supposed to be taking Fintage out for Cod or Shark, but the forecast was looking snotty by Sat morning, so I set up a Tog trip up my way. (Then they decreased the forecast by that NIGHT! F-in asses )

Anyway, I stuck with my Tog trip anyway, and brought along A couple friends, Keith and Chris. Keith hadn't been Toggin' in years, Chris never had.

We went to a spot I have fished a lot, but haven't tried yet this year. Never moved all day! We slayed 'em again, Chris (who had never Tog fished) bringing the first 2 nice fish over the side while I was tying rigs LOL

That started the morning off....non-stop Togs over the side all morning, up until about 10:30, when it slowed up at the top of the tide. We picked all nice fish, up to 9# landed. Chris lost one that had him doubled over the side of the boat at times, his entire rod in the water, and was giving him an incredible fight! It ended after a couple minutes when it broke the hook in half! Had to be a beauty!!!! Lost a couple other nice ones in the rocks. Challenging spot to fish, but that's what I like, and you have to be RIGHT on the spot

We showed up our neighbors, and even a couple nearby charter boats hehehe..... Guys were re-anchoring all around us, ahead, behind, both sides, etc, trying to figure out what we were doing

Anyway, the weather was beautiful, we could have gone offshore very comfortably, but our Tog day was great, weather was awesome, overcast, warm, light 5kt wind, enough to keep me right on my target

We kept our RI limit of 30 fish, since Keith and Chris would put the meat to use very well (I have plenty myself LOLOL).

Went back to Keith's house near the ramp to clean the fish and wash the boat down.

    Great day again!

    Nice mess of fish!

    Congratulations!

I never got out for them this year. Next year will surely be a different story. Hope to be reporting some successes such as you have here.

Thanks KC! Whereabouts you from anyway?

We've had a great Tog season....made 6 or 7 trips and slammed 'em on all the trips, most trips 100-150 Togs in a day, the others were 50-75 for the day. Haven't caught Tog like this in years LOL

I'm not done yet! Everyone's wrapping/pulling their boats.....FRIG that yet LOL

Formula: I'm from MA but have had my boat slipped up the CT River for years.

My fishing, boating, cruising waters extend from the Sound to Montauk.

Already reserved in Montauk for one week next summer. Hoping to spend more time on the water next year, and as many, planning for a larger boat.

My wife has a camper set up in RI.
