We had one giant bust next to our hellium ballooned Pogie but no love. Plenty of 10 pound blues and 30 pound bass eating our baits. drove 103 miles today and saw 4 whales and 2 tuna. radio was very quiet.

We were busy clearing bluefish from our squid bars when a huge pod blew up all around the boat. We were 3 miles south of the golf balls. That was our one shot for the day.

We were with several stick boats and I never saw any of them come down out of the towers to throw. My guess in the 900 boats kept the fish down.

Guess we got lucky. Ran from Quincy to PHB; saw lots of shearwaters sitting between two groups of boats. Put out a pogie under a balloon and before we could even get the kite ready we were on. Fish never made any big runs, just went straight down under the boat and dogged for almost 2 hrs. Bro did a great job on the rod on a fish that wouldn't quit. 77" 205 gutted. Reel Fast...were you picking up pogies @ Kevins pen? If so thanks....we (23 Seacraft) decided not to wait in line and went with what we had...perfect timing for us! Also saw a stickboat swing and miss between SW and CCB.
