Thurs 8/28 ???
Weather looks good. Thinking about Giving it a shot, couple options. Launch in Glouc NWC or SWC. Or go for it, launch Westport and head really S to claw area. Although heard that bite cooled off? Anyone have word or been out there?
We cast with heavy spin gear so trying to find feeds if possible. Can also put out a xrap slug go spread If desperate, or we drop the butterfly.
Anyone else out?
Thanx

I hope you mean 7/28? If I could predict the fishing in a month a would be a rich man! In regards to lately the radio chatter suggests the bite is not what it was a couple weeks ago in the area of the Claw. The best I can do for you.

Yes I meant 7/28.... Brain fart. I have heard a bit of the same. Thinking about the Bank now I guess. Really wanted to find some exotics!!
Any thoughts/reports from the Bank? I don't get a lot of days between family and work so just trying to maximize my efforts.
Thanks for any help

Thurs 7/28 report from The Bank
Well, we certainly gave it a solid shot. We left Glouc jetty at 6am, swung by NWC on way S. Didn't see anything so we kept going as S was the report for most life. Nothing along t W side on the way except h2o. SWC was quiet....really? Ouch. Talked to Nat who was east a bit and had some life so we poked that way. On the high ground between S corners we finally found a school of eels, birds, and some fishy looking h2o.
We cast sluggos on jigs and got a big bass, then nada. So we set up the troll with xraps and sluggos for a while. Nada except 1 big gator. We worked to the east edge, nada. Jigger all over the E drop and nada....this was getting frustrating. Nat got a barely legal on bait back to the west as did another from chatter so we worked back to the fleet of WW boats.
Time for us to start hopping to the N so off we went. Stopped at BE and thought we saw a couple slashes in the distance so we chased but never saw again. No signs of life at all. Got to NWC, and once again....saw absolutely nothing fishy. Not a mark, no bait, no whales, no birds, no nothing....
Obviously from the reports we all see some fish are being caught, but mostly on live bait which is not my thing. And JJ got a fish trolling bars and almost lost a couple digits in the process, also not my thing! I will troll, don't have bars, but not into losing digits.
I was very surprised to see FLA post of all the small fish on beaks yesterday....we covered over 100 miles and didn't see anything even closely resembling what he described....big ocean out there is all I can say. Good luck out there and hope you do better than we did.

Seems like the water east of Block has been that way too. In regards to being lively one day and then nothing the next.
