Crazy year!
Crazy year!
Don't know if you intended just to be regional but down here in Florida and Bahamas we've had our share of "different". Last winter was coldest on record here. Freezing eight different nights and another 30+ nights under 40. Sailfish stayed in surreal numbers here locally. Swordfish all but vanished (at least on the night fish).
Pocket at Chub normally has plenty of marlin. Few and far between but unreal numbers of sailfish. Marlin showed up at Bimini pretty strong for the first time in a long time. Dolphin run was shorter than ever.
King macks stayed off south florida through the summer and already a body of sailfish showing up months early and even in advance of the mullet run.
Out in my hunting grounds not so much as a track when most years I can count on getting a shot or two and tons of track. No snakes out there where its usually thick with em but my yard at home is loaded with black racers. More eagles staying year around than ever before. Seeing grey foxes moving into urban areas more and more. Iguanas thought to be killed off by last years cold showing up farther and farther north.
#1 for me, has to be the bad ass coyote in my garage![]()
