Went to Sandwich ramp, didn`t want to deal with dredgers in GH,was meeting two guys from Sandwich anyway. It`s a nice ramp and am use to it. CLOSED TODAY!! DOH!! Launched from Barnstable Harbor at low tidebut made it out OK. Got some Macks and headed to the middle of the bank halway between the SW and SE corners. One early take down and harrased by tons of dogs mixed with the Tuna. Saw tons of Tuna jumping tried squid bar, ballywhoo and live macks...nothing. Heard PH was dead so stuck around, tough to leave with so many Tuna jumping despite the damn dogs.
Finickey Tuna for us. I think they were zoned in on eels. Very curious to see how others did. Couldn`t beat the day though,FAC and warm

We went 1 for 2 today, first on spinning gear, broke him off.Second on a pink shanka procured from Capt Sears.54 inches.
There are a lot of fish still out there, and they are spread far and wide, but yes very finicky.Good luck.![]()
Was out with Captain Greg Sears on the Fortuna, only fish we heard of being caught was Animals. There were a lot of fish still out there airing it out, but they were up and down quick.......
Very frustrating,huh?
Had a great time with you guys. One of the few trips this year I had to honer my half price guarantee. Thats why they call it fishing.
Hey ("Kurts" Terence) we may go Saturday AM if we get weathered out tomorrow. Call me if you want to go? Sushi if you read this Call me too.
I fully realize they do not work north of the cape and that fish jump into the boat on special flavors and colors but my experience with picky and racing November school fish has always been ballyhoo, ballyhoo, ballyhoo, naked if you can rig them to run straight at 4 knots.
Was at SWC by 7am, nothing but one hell of a whale show with no tuna near them but tons of sand eels. Tried SEC, few tuna poppin and tons of dogfish...Tried PH...DEAD, back to SWC nothing, tried done the middle of the bank.....nothing, no signs of tuna...We jigged, had live bait, trolled squid bars, sluggos, X Raps and casted... Left the bank at 2pm after clocking in over 100 miles.....
Didn't see much sign of life for tuna, few here and there and that was it. Saw two boats hooked up and neither landed... Kept hearing 1 guy talk about all the tuna around his boat and how insane it was, had my handheld radio with 5 mile range and never saw any kind of action like that. Covered alot of ground today....
Wish we had seen you Shesoff. Heck of a last day to spend on the water minus the Charlie. I did score a nice keeper Cod as well as lots of Doggies, Whiting a Mackerel and sea robin on the jig. The bubble feeding was pretty amazing except when we found ourselves in the middle of it.
