Is there a "Best Chum" to get your hands on for Tuna or Shark in Mass Bay?
Most Bait stores sell frozen Chum, but is there a different company/maker over another that's worth going out of the way to get?

For sharks, make your own. Pick up a woodchipper at a yard sale for short money, add eight whole bluefish, four fresh pogies and a four cups of rice, pack into square bucket and place in freezer. Voila, a frozen mako magnet.

Mike,
Why the rice? Does it sink and add depth to the slick? Or is there another magic reason....
Mike
I have had mixed results with various types of chum. Starting your drift in the right area would help even more. I have had better luck with fresh baits though ie tuna bonito and falsies. It may have been that the sharks were following the fish since we sharked close to the catch, which brings me to my first point. I believe that if you drift over a mako or thresher or any shark using old frozen chum and freezer burned baits he'll eat. Catch em up
