If you get a torpedo stuck in the props, would spurs cut it up?:

Should you actually be trying to catch one with anything less than a 130?

Since you posted this, will there be 200 boats out there fishing for naval subs?

If a local charter captain, and tackle shop owner is a jerk, what does that make the Navy Admiral for chasing small ships with torpedos? Anyone can kill small ships but it takes skill to kill the big ones!

Is it true that the Naval spokes person who actually logs onto this site under the alias of Parapapam is actually Chester Nimitz?

.... OK so I am bored at work and trying to entertain myself. BTW, this is my favorite post in a while. Cool stuff out there, Larry.

Mike

This may be interesting to some About a year before I was stationed on the USS Corporal ss346 she was involved in a incident in Long Island Sound with a sail boat. It was reported that she surfaced under the sail boat. Here is a link to the incident. You can also go to SS346.com. Lots of photos and crew list and history.

I am very happy that I stopped going due east at 25 knots before I impacted either with a sub or torpedo.

i am also now very aware that the "spotter plane" I was trying to get under so I could catch lots and lots of rats away from the MEN AT WORK crew was in fact a P-3 Orion which is why no matter how far east I ran; it was still a couple miles out.

Christian told me about this one; he gets the P.I. credit...

I think you need a permit to fire torpedoes at the USS Nimitz. Not sure which category, though.

Hahaha...I saw the P3 too and thought the same thing - "that's spotter plane". Saw it flying low then bank hard to the left. When I saw smoke from the afterburners, I thought day-um, that's a hell of a spotter plane.

Good fun!!!

I really enjoy this site and it's cast of characters. It truly does make for some good reading.

With that being said... I nominate that Mr. Backman use the following avatar.
