the hole idea is have this stuff done for the spring ! that way you can concentrate on the fish, not to figure out gear layouts , and how to use them. Remember the 5 Ps proper planning prevents poor performance
how good do you take care of your gear , washing salt away , visual inspection also line testing for salt rot good inspection of reel spool for corrosion
Better now than I used to be. I got new reels this year so they get washed down religiously. I didn't have that much religion 2 or 3 years ago with my previous reels But they got washed down most of the time. The spectra on the new reels was recycled from the previous reels. Shit, come to think of it, a couple reels have new spectra and I don't know which reels got new and which ones have old. They all look the same
Good topic Chum- perhaps you can bring one of your set ups and Carl can show us all what he would look for when determining whether or not it should be replaced.
I was going to bring a 30 and leave it at the shop for repairs (from my not so good religion days). I'll bring the 50s down too. I always wanted to have someone look at the splices. I serve the end with kevlar thread, not floss. Maybe we can break some stuff
Should I hit DD and get a box of joe and donuts or something?
