    Exclamation Tag-A-Tiny Tournament 2010

    Hey guys

Some of you probably know but wanted to post just incase-

The Tag-A-Tiny tournament is going on again this year for a full week, August 20-28. The South Shore captain's meeting is on the 18th, and the North Shore captain's meeting is on the 19th. And finally there is a celebration dinner on the 29th. I will attach some info here. I am having trouble attaching the registration form here for some reason, so if you are interested email Heidi at: tagatiny@gmail.com

This is a good event and helps fund Molly's important research so do it if you can!

Looks like a great event. Too bad the Recs. can't keep a giant. Is this a commercial event only?

Not sure if that is more of a comment then a question but either way, from what I know, this is far from being a commercial tournament. Pretty sure this tournament has been more centered around tag and release of small fish (hence the name Tag A Tiny...). I am not sure if anyone even caught a giant last year and if they did there were not very many at all. Only result I heard of was the guy who tagged the most.

Molly's work is critical and this is a good way to help that cause. No better way to be contributing $200 to a group that really needs it bad. Hopefully people understand how important this is and will sign up.

That's what I thought too, until I read the attached flier and saw that prizes would be handed out to the largest giant.
Molly has a great program and we tag fish for her often.
It sounds like a great time and anytime you can do what you love while helping to protect what you love is a good thing.

    Something for everyone

After reading this years program it seems like it's set up well for just about everyone. Weekend and weekday fishermen, Rec's, charterboats and commercial guys and for only a couple hundred bucks.

Seems like Hotreels/Obama(private joke) is right the rules seem confusing as far as dressed giants are concerned. This goes to a great cause so let's play nice!

Agreed. Like I said above, not sure there is any better way to contribute $200 to this important cause.
