Saw chomps boat big eye and lindas boat bjorn in new Bedford Monday. If you went in the harbor infer the popes island bridge they are on your left. May have seen eagle eye over near kelleys but could not read name as I was too far. Went over to the big eye saw the boys working on their hooks. Earl must have cost the fleet a lot in fuel to come into port for a fizzled out storm

My guess is they probably are just getting read to head out, doubt they would steam 1200 miles for anything other than the end of the season. Could be wrong though... Still worth checking out if your in that area!

New Bedford the only true Proven hurricane proof harbor on east coast. With the weather forecast they had to go to safety. 3 day steam. Could have been cat 3 storm. Weatherman had the path but not the wind speed. Outerbanks would not have been fun.

I have seen that white longliner from the bridge too but had a different name and was not the Big Eye but looks very much like it.

Those big boats would never steam 1200 miles from the Grand Banks, which is more like a 5 day steam, for any storm. Maybe I could see Big Eye possibly doing it since he should not even be out there in an average storm in that POS. But even then I would think he would find somewhere much, much closer to the grounds.

And Mark I agree there is a reason boats like the Bjorn do not usually fish there!
