Fished the morning, nothing at all for us. fish were caught around us. Very crowded so we bailed at lunch time.

Heard there were lots of fish around in the afternoon.

Next week

Reports?

Tuna Meltdown, I could hear you just about 11:00 on 68, "South of #3" and "call me on my cell", you were right not to broadcast ...... the weekend warrior traffic is starting to pickup. I finished maybe 2 clean trolls over Peaked Hill bars with double hookups before CH 1 lit up and within 15 minutes I was dodging idiots. I don't mind guys who know what they are doing but when someone hooks up in the middle of the fleet and cuts his engine to fight a 33" striper he screws the whole cycle. It felt like that Visa commercial when a guy whips out his checkbook and everything comes to a screeching halt.

Anyway enough of the rambling about easy pickin stripers how did you guys make out on the backside? I had the wife and kid with me so I was stuck in tight. Man I wanted to make the extra run out to SWC. We picked up 2 over the weekend 1 @ 55" and 1 @ 57". No monsters but man are they good eating.

We were out by the old BE from about 6am to 9 and nothing. We moved over to the SWC as we weren't seeing much wildlife where we were.

Nothing doing over at SWC so we went back to the BE and had one monster strike but no takers. We called it quits around 11. I heard that it picked it up in the afternoon, so maybe some on the site had the patients and had it pay off.

Tuna M, I tried texting you as I couldn't get you on the cell. There was so much chatter on 68 all morning...I think I heard "Dad's Boat" being paged in my sleep on Saturday night...

Wish I could have got the Meltdown on the cell as I didn't hear much after 11 and took it as a great sign that you guys were hooking up.

Chum and Shoe, I heard you guys over the radio on Saturday am, hope you guys had better luck.

I tell you what, I was having flashbacks of Route 1 on a Friday night out there- holy crap do you guys fish in crowds, damn.

Bernzy we unfortunately didn't do any better. We were in the crowds in the am, saw tons of eels being pushed around but couldn't get anything to hit what we were giving them. In the afternoon we were the only ones out there, and we must have had fish pushing water around us for at least an hour, but again they didn't want anything to do with us. At one point we had a couple of giants next to us pushing water, and they were so close and we were so frustrated that we almost thought about tossing the poon at em

Bernzy, I did get your messages but the company cell phone does not tell me the number of the sender or allow me to reply.
We were quite on the radio because sadly there was not much to report. We ended up going fishless. No strikes no nothing. A friend of mine on Tuna Bound did catch a 59" fish and later in the day around 5pm another friend got a 53" fish.

No friggen chit First time I've fished SWC. You could walk from P-town to Stellwagen and not get your feet wet. You can't catch fish in a cluster f*k like that.

Same story here. We promptly left the SWC crowd and headed E to find another crowd...at PH. Pulled a 180 and headed away from from the crowds and deeper water. Saw one happy little pilot whale then some tooners and no other boats. Trolled our way over to avoid catching the flottilla's attention. Talk about frustrating. Got in a decent position, fish airing out and we took our shots. But no go. That was it. Fished until about 2 and raced home for a BBQ and fireworks. Can't wait to get in my own boat for a change and back to Cape.

"Dad's Dream, Dad's Dream, Come Back" LMAO Was he even out there?

Did you hear the guy on the radio that claimed to have an 80+ inch fish boatside and no tuna permit?
