sw corner

Whats up guys? Took a charter out this morning. Decided on the way out to check out the corner for tuna insted of just steaming to the bar.Glad I took a look. Whales, birds and bait!A great sight, plus a great chop to run t sears squid bars, black and red way back, good and plenty middle, trick or treat short. Once my mate got the rigs set out the back of the labrador I knew it was just a matter of time that a fish was going to destroy one of the rigs. You guys know when it looks so good there is no way you can't get hit. 5 min in the water the rig way back got so smoked, then the reel started to sing. Then the best part; yelling and screaming at the charter to clear the lines. Getting them going, I love it all. Hell breaks loose. No being calm on my boat, the more nuts the better. Anyway they got their fish. So did alot of other boats. Great day. No charter tomorrow.I will be fishing out there for myself tomorrow. Some very nice 5 lbs blues at the race. Great giant baits. Good luck guys.

We were out on SWC early and managed a couple bites on live baits @ 8 AM. Landed the dominant 65" class fish, this one was a racer, very lean. Tried giving leftover pogies away but lost radio contact with boat that wanted them. Fleet sounded slow on radio, lots of trollers, some unaware of what kites are......

We landed one early, handed off our pogies to some random boat, and got home early...love days like that!
