good topic
there is nothing like a good quality pair of sunglasses, which are spotless clean, to start the sunrise off right.
I have a couple pair of Calcutta blue mirrored that are dinghed and scratched and that is why I bought them.
I have a nice pair of amber Action Optics from the Bear's Den that I love and put me in a good mood anytime they are on me.
I have a excellent pair of Costa de Mars that are just the bomb. They are some new technology etc...etc...etc... All I know is they give me a wonderful view of the field and let very little ambient sunlight in on the sides and under the cheekbones to fit my oh, so unique face shape.
I know a lot of people have an issue with their support, but my experience, so far, has been great. The gurl I spoke with there was very helpful and even overnighted them to me at no cost.
I have a pair of Wiley's ballistic sunglasses for driving and love them. why ballistic? they were just the ones I liked at the time.
All optics are polarized and on a neck leash.
Now that I am 40+ I put a pair of cheap 2.5 reading glasses on board and in the bag with a neck lanyard for tying knots and finer rigging.
I am curious to hear what others say here.
Quite the post since all you posted was "sunglasses"

Crab mustard is good
Well, here's my opinion.
I'm a cheap ******* in general even though I spend ridiculous amounts of money on my fishing gear. That being said I did finally buy a pair of Costas last season, they lasted on my oversized mug for just about an hour. Thats when they fell into the drink while I was locking in a mainline to the rigger clip. I hear that the humpback that ended up with them is very pleased with their fine polished lenses!
I too own a couple pairs of Calcuttas. They do the job to a degree. I am however on a hunt for another pair of good glasses. I am looking into the Natives, they look good but I need to try them on first before I buy them. The Keonons look to be very good glasses and I have heard a lot of good things regarding them since they've been on the market. The other glasses I am considering are Oakleys. Tried a buddies on last week and they fit real nice, they even had sideshields built into the arm which cut out all the excess glare from the water. It's just hard to justify spending a couple hundo on glasses when they are surely going to get beat up throughout the fishing season.
Guess I'll have to invest in some of those floating leashes for my next good pair!

I practice safe fishing
good glasses cheap
Hey guys,
I have 2 pairs of costa's and 2 pairs of natives. The natives are great because they have interchangeable lenses, so depending on the light level I switch from reflex blue, grey, or amber polarized lenses. I got all 4 pairs for less than the retail price of any of them individually on steepandcheap.com. They sell one item at a time till they are completely sold out, and often have stuff that comes in handy fishing, i.e. glasses, knives, first aid kits, clothing etc. Its obnoxious to have 4 pairs of glasses, but when you can get 200 dollar glasses for 28 bucks then it feels ok to have a pair to leave on my boat, a pair for the boat i work on, a dressy pair, and a casual pair.
