Sunday Funday with To-Togs and SeaBass

Managed to get out with my good friend Nat Chalkley(GettheNet) this past Sunday to do a little bottom fishing before the winds kicked up.

Off the Dock around 0530. Anchor set around 0545. Toginthebox around 0558. We had solid fishing till around 0900 when the winds out the N picked up and made things quite nautical.

Toughed it out till about 1100ish and then snuck into a spot in the lee to throw a few SeaBass in the box.

1230 on land eating Tacos and drinking a Beer.

Seabass for recreational is not open untill May 22, however Commerical season is and the boat holds a commerical permit as that is what we were doing.

If you're ever in a pinch for a buyer on the seabass...let me know. If you can get it to Hyannis, I'm a buyer. Especially Jumbos.

Cape Fishermen- chowdah, baked, grilled, fried Tog is always tasty in my mind. Nat is quite the chef so usually I leave to him to do cooking if we choose to eat some.

Salty Dog- The fish came from a mean upwelling where there was a sharp temp break from 55.4 to 56.2...cold side was the hottest.

Great timing! Spring Tog season closes on Sat. from what I've read.
