Sunday 9/25 Stellwagen / PHB / Round back

Will be heading out on Sunday unless the forecast changes massively. Let me know if you're going and want to share intel. I'll be steaming out of Sesuit at 6ish, heading to SWC then SEC and PHB / Golf Balls more or less in that order looking for the fish.

Lucy Maria on 68/69 (the boat missing an outrigger due to a docking accident -- someone else's accident not mine!)

Also planning to start at PHB and work north and then west to the SWC, weather permitting. Will answer to Solemate on 68 and would be happy to share.

    Hey Lucy Maria,

That would be our plan too but we've decided that Chatham should be a better option. We've been shutout this year every time we've fished the SW Corner, the SE Corner, and PHB, so we think it's time for a change. When you're down by the golf ball give us a call on CH 68 and we'll share info.

Solemate & Sashimi - sounds good. E. of Chatham does seem like it's the place to be - we may end up there before the day is out!

    SKUNKED in the fog

Trolled through the enormous fleet fishing off Race Point with nary a sniff with the intention of running up to Stellwagen. We managed to get to the SWC but it was so foggy that I didn't want to risk trolling around in the pea soup. We came back down to RP and trolled along the pot line -- tons of birds, but nothing biting our bars, not even bass or blues! Didn't see many (any?) of the bass fleet hooking up either.

The fog showed signs of lifting here and there, but in the end it just kept rolling down so we scooted home empty handed. Kinda frustrating as I don't really feel like we even got to try!

Oh well -- at least the winds were calm and at least I didn't burn as much gas as I would have running around the back side!

    Finally....

We got a nice fat 47 inch fish this morning off Chatham. We were trolling four spreader bars and hooked up on a "Widow Maker" on the long line. Fog was thick when we hooked up but lifted for a while and then rolled back in. Lots off small fish outside the cut but I don't think they were eating. Didn't hear of too many fish being caught today.
