Striped Bass action Warming Up around Jones Inlet
Sorry it has been a while since we've posted on here. We hope you find our reports helpful and beneficial. Leave a response here or email us and let us know how we can improve our reports and what information you would like to receive. Your feedback helps us deliver better information.
We have started receiving reports from the striper community and the fishing is improving.
We have been hearing striped bass in the 20-28" range and up to 30 fish per tide being caught. The West Bar at Jones Beach seems to be the top spot, especially on the outgoing tides while clam chumming. We have also heard of some success using Fin Strike, Spro or Andrus bucktails tipped with curly tail grubs.
We hope to hear more and keep you updated on the fall striper run. We have posted the full striped bass report on our site along with some tips on catching fresh bait and clam chumming. We wanted to spare you from reading the (subjective) unnecessary information.
If you have a report you would like featured on our site, please call (516) 785-3223 or send email to info@causewaybaitandtackle.com. Good luck and tight lines!
