I am more than willing to take people's old discolored and wrinkled squids and put them to good use![]()
Hang 'em from a nail in the basement after a thorough fresh water wash. I put stinky stuff (thanks striper swiper) on the stinger the first time out each year.... I do the same thing with my single lures sort of. Those I wrap around two hanging 2x4's which are separated by about 3 feet. It stops the leader getting all curly.
Re-rig anything that looks old or dull....
Mike
thanks for all the replies and help guys....i hate to ask ignorant questions but it was my first season last year and the bottom line is i'm just learning and i don't know this stuff so i have to ask these questions so i can learn and i appreciate everyones help.......now i have to run to wal mart to get an iron and an ironing board i'll report back later just how dressy my squids look![]()

Cotton Candy is all chewed up and needs to be discarded.
To me!
As Cam Dog (Fortunamate) said; we hang all of our bars in the off-season and keep our spare bars (not on the boat during the season) hung up as well. The "hot hot hot water" trick does a great job on old squid, be careful though.
