Stellwaggen and around
OK to poor action on fish just over the size limit and great action on rec take homes. Caught a keeper on 3 of the last 4 trips but that period covers nearly two weeks. Todays fish was the cookie cutter 74 - 75 inch job.
Fish are stacked up on the south edge in the morning. Most of them are scurrying down into the bay during the day. Still fish of ALL sizes at PHB but the rats are easier to troll at the bank. Get a good couple of bars from the family Sears and pull them early in the morning along the south edge - Kinda guarranteed. Use bait if you want a keeper or else you will drive yourself nuts. From what I can tell, the good troll boats are not tricking the keepers - if they cant do it , you and I aint gonna.
Bait in Duxbury/Plymouth getting shaky but still some. The little bluefish are nowhere to be found up inside Duxbury. Some medium guys mixed in with the bass in the bays but not reliable enough to target for bait.

John,
It must be nice to have one of your, ho hum, cookie cutter days of 74-75"...nice going. Hoping to get back to the area in the next week or so. Still haven't proven the scup technique but I can't figure why they wouldn't work.
