Went sat. Left dock at 430 lines in at 7 am after running 105 miles at 70-72 degree break on flats in between tails and w Atlantis. Bunch of skippys for awhile. Decided to go towards fishtails instead of w atlantis. Got all the way to se corner and back over the course of the day. Water was 72-74 degrees. Caught just one small yft and 5 mahi including a nice 15 lb bull. Trolled back up flats into cold side of break. Nothing else. Picked up at 2 pm. Back at dock by around 430 pm.
Radio chatter sounded generally slow. A lot of guys did similar with small yft and mahi. Heard of one "250 lb bigeye" and yft of "100 lbs".
Heard somebody call me on radio but it was broken up. Sorry I couldn't get you.

Sorry for the late report...
Took the Gladiator to West Atlantis on Wednesday. Hit a nice rip line short of the temp break we had set our sights on and put 3 yellowfin in the boat in short order. Pushed on to the break(hard break from 70 to 75 in a few boat lengths) and worked it pretty hard without any luck. Came back to the area where we had caught the yellowfin and finished Wednesday with 8 yellowfin in the box. The night had one 100 lb mako come to the boat, but nothing else. Thursday turned sour, but the morning bite was awesome and we finished the trip with about 25 yellowfin(12 in the box) and the mako. Most of the yellowfin were around 30 lbs, but 6 were 50-55 lbs. Fish were caught in the flats in water temps between 68.5 and 71. Yellowfin basically ignored the meat and loved green and rainbow squid bars and small jets.
