    St. John for Xmas

Hey guys anyone got any intel on St. John? Taking the wife and kids for a week over Xmas. Planning to sneak a couple 3 piece pack rods and spinning gear in the luggage. I figure a few kalin jig-heads 3/8 oz. with some various rubber shad sizes and colors, a few spro bucktails in chartreuse, any other suggestions?

Have a good Holiday to all!!

Careful of the park waters and get a black mirolure and fish it right at dusk.

What are park waters and why do I need to be careful?

I have been told to hit the Annenburg Ruins area, looks like a nice flat out in front.

I've been fishing these waters since the 60's and I'll be down there from 12/19 to 1/2 also. Where are you staying? Maybe we can hook up for a split. I'll have a World Cat while I'm there and I'm planning on heading out to the South Drop for some tuna and wahoo on some secret FAD's my friend put in.

    Fissues,

    That is great,

We are staying at Cinnamon Bay Campground. My kids are into camping even at 20 and 17 they love to camp. Flying in on 12/24. It would be great hook up with you for a day and maybe drop the girls in town.

CBCG is real cool. There are some HUGE resident tarpon that hang on the eastside of your beach towards the rocks. Very strange snorkeling with these prehistoric creatures, you can touch them while there suckin' up the squid!

I can pick you guys up right on your beach and do a tour with the family. I have picked up others before there. They don't really like me coming in there if you make it quick and no beach landings.

The offshore fishing is nasty water so I wouldn't recommend any landlubbers for that part. Cinnamon Bay is located in the NPS so no fishing is allowed. If you hike over the hill there is some good bonefishing.

PM me your contact info. Hopefully you have ATT, Verizon sucks there.
