    Squid in Vineyard Sound?

    Has anyone seen, or heard reports of squid in Vineyard Sound?

    The draggers are slowly assembling but I would think they'll be much going on for a couple more weeks. Last years run was atrociously. Hopefully its better this year.

    I agree, I hope the run is not as bad as it was last year. No bait = no fish.

    Hopefully the apparent substantial decrease in dogfish in the sounds last year compared to the previous several years meant not every squid egg was being vacuumed up and squid will be present in better numbers this year. But, if there weren't many eggs to begin with last year........? . May will tell.

    The squid draggers were out there today, about 6 of them from off the point at New Seabury to the Waquoit breakwater
