We tried everything rich. This fish was just stuborn. We tried what you said to do, and much much more.

and had the right gear. Fish was landed on a 1800 saragosa, 80 pound daiwa braid with 100 pound leader.

50W on a 50-130rod....

this is my kind of bluefin for spinning gear. I agree; that fish is worthy of at least a 30W...nice job and all; I would have cut the line at dusk myself....
