Anyone heard whether the bite is still on south of the islands? I know that this weather probably kept everyone in but I was just wondering.

2 for 2 on wahoo; 30-40 and large; perhaps 15+ false albacore and a 3' mako shark. Wahoo were in 69.1 degree water near 71.5 degree water. No signs of yellowfin for me and the fleet on the radio. Scattered birds; no real signs of life.

water peaked at 72.4, grey blue and not as good looking as before the storm.

Thank you for the intel. I really appreciate it. I think we are going to pull the plug on tommorow because of the NE winds 15-20 and the 2-4 ft seas. Im hoping if we get a long run of nice weahther we can make it next week. Having one day off a week sucks sometimes a lot.

You went where I went on Friday Larry! Pretty neat reeling in a wahoo within easy visibility of land.

    Anyone else remember that term?

Ooops. Well then, I guess wahoo in 69 near 71 seems to be a pretty consistent pattern right now... Good work on getting two more. Hoping to give it another go this weekend.

Similar results for me Fri before the weather came thru. One small mako, double SBFT, double skippie/bone, single yft and a chitload of albies. Piles of halfbeaks around.

Chum- minus the bones and the skippy, add a few mahi and a second mako pup, and that's my exact day from Friday. What type of boat were you fishing out of?
