We fished here last thursday , we were heading for the break at tylers gap...but never go there. Had fish busting a few miles north of Gordons gully in 65 degree water , put a small spread of ballys, hook up right a way . Figure they are rat bluefin, get it boatside and it is a Yellow around 20 pounds. First for us a yellowfin in 65 degree water and i can still see MV. Push south in search of the Bluewater , pickin away at small yellows, Mushies and Mahi off the flyers. Raise a white who comes after the Large Islander with a Horse on it, bait was too big and he drops after 2 looks. We are now in 77 degree water and the rod we have rigged with a marauder on wire for wahoo goes off. Good intial run, thinking wahoo... 5 minutes later get color, Bluefin around 60-70 pounds. Start north and get all rods knocked down , land 4.
