Could not ask for better weather Saturday morning for the tournament. There were some nice fish taken during the two days. The largest fish was a 471# Thresher and a 458# was 2nd. There were a few Makos caught the largest was 160#.
We were fortunate enough to take first place in the Blue Shark category with a 358 lb'er. Second was 307#.
Plenty of action with Sharks and things appear to be coming alive with other species.
There was talk on the radio of a 1000lb +/- Tiger Shark at one boat . I am not sure if they hooked it and lost it or just saw it.
Our catch was about 18-20 Blue Sharks and a small mako about 140lbs that we released. Ran out of our 10 tags early and unfortunately was not able to tag the Mako. Blue sharks were around the boat all day.
We fished Saturday only as our third man canceled out last minute. We had to fish just two of us Saturday and just about burned ourselves out. With that and the predicted windy conditions, we decided stay in on Sunday.
