Smelt Fishing in GH

I know this is way off of everyone's favorite tuna subject, but now that the boats out and wrapped has anyone ever tried smelting in Green Harbor? I grew up in Boston and fished smelt with my old man from Southie to Hull and remember it pretty fondly. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Don't know about GH but I read that Pemberton Pier in Hull is the good spot.

I like the fisherman's club public dock in Hull but I live minutes from GH and was looking for a little local intel. It seems most of the old timers are gone and the sport is dying but I might go give it a try. Thanks Gig

the scituate smelt run was hot hot from last week in august until first week in sept, guys were talking about filling buckets at night, but it comes and goes quickly, Rick at fore river said to me that hewitts cove was good. i tried hingham harbor 2 weeks ago and got skunked, last year hingham was the hot spot

it wasn't exactly fast and furious this evening but we ended up w/ about 5 dozen and a few macks in the mix. we went out early this morning to net up some shrimp and found some schoolies too. a good day w/ the boy
