    Slug go Dredge

Hey guys, been playing around. I've wanted to try this for a while and finally got a round to making one.

Took a frame I got from Ken at www.reeldraggintackle.com and hung 6" slug go's off each arm by a swivel.

    Took a 9" slug go rigged it on a 36" 200# Momoi leader with a 7/0 Owner 4X hook

    Questions/thoughts:

Should the arm slug go's be rigged with short leaders?
Is my hook slug go to far back at 36"
How can I stop the arm slug gos from "swinging" or pivoting inside the snap swivels....or is it even a big deal??

Will the frame spook the fish if the slug go's are rigged that close to the frame?

    Would love the thoughts/criticism??

Worst case I have a Bass dredge

    Looks great!!!

I think they should be fine rigged that close to the arms.
Only thing to do is pull it and see how it looks.

Be interesting to see the action of the hooked one vs the arms.

I played around with HOGY's on OI dredge's this winter in Mexico. It did raise Sails, but no where near as many as OI Holografis/Natural or all natural dredge.

personally i dont think they will swim as well as you would like... plus i am not a fan of putting that many sluggos in the water do to the rumors of fish being caught with 6 sluggos in there gut. if you hook up on that there is def going to be 4 sluggos floating around for the taking

    John,
I have messed around with the dredge chains etc with the sluggos and also the Got Stryper baits. The jury still is out plus when the blues are around they last about 3 seconds. I didn't see any real increase in catch rate when compared to the spreads without one in it.

Like it was stated above see how it swims.

Your going to need bluefish-dar with that thing in the spread. I like the idea though.
