Shinnecock Report

Flounder is a pick in both the Quogue and Shinnecock Canals, fished are also west of the Ponquogue Bridge. Sandworms have been the bait of choice. The Striped bass bite continue to improve daily. Fish up to 26" have been reported from the the Ponquogue bridge on sandworms and schoolies are being caught along the ocean beaches between Moriches and Shinnecock inlets. Blues have began to show in Quogue canal and along the ocean beaches as well. most fish are in the 6-8lb range. Weakfish reports have been quiet although their are rumors of a few caught fish but nothing confirmed.
