    Shimano sergusa spinning reel for tuna fishing

    Does anyone have one and if so what is your thoughts on it?

    I was talking to the Shimano rep at a show last week he said it will be ok for the smaller fish but not really up to the larger fish #200. That leaves the $tella you might check out some conventional reels as you can get more drag then a spinner for less money and cast further. Like the Daiwa Saltist LD , Shimano Talica 1 or 2, Avet HX Raptor. All those are half the price of a stella.

    I have a couple, didnt want to spring for a Stella. They work great on tuna to 100#, but havent hooked a bigger one yet. A 200 pounder may smoke it

    Have caught a couple on them up to 68-69'', if you can afford it, the stella is the way to go.
