sharking monday 6th
pushed off around 5am and did a steady 25 knot cruise in flat calm seas to the butterfish hole got to the grounds around 645 and set in the water temp was 64.6 degrees and somewhat clean good visibality.... 15 minutes into the chumming the 50 ft rod goes off 10 minutes later had a nice 100 lb blueshark i reset the three rods again and bout an hour later we had a blueshark at the boat eating bluefish chunks so i grabbed my spinning rod and put a leader on with 174lb wire fed it to the shark and slammed it with a killer hook set and the fight was on 10 minutes later and a nantuket ride i had about another 150 blueshark landed... set every thing up again and instatly had a blueshark that decided he wanted to play so it ate all three ballons and bit off every rig then he ate a hook bait shortly after that..... this is within the first hour and 30 to twohours things died for a little then we drifted into 71 degree water and we got back into the bluedogs thick for the rest of the trip gunna be back out there sunday weather permitting
tally for the trip was 8 bluesharks caught and released and 5 runoffs with no end results great trip felt good to pull on something and have it pull back
did any see how long the wining blueshark was in the jb tournment cause i had a solid 275 blueshark
