Hopped aboard a friends boat on Friday for a full day of sharking. Left the dock at 6am, a bit later than we hoped to. Picked up a couple fresh blues off Block and off we went. Set up our drift at the Mud hole in 69 degree water. First Bluedog on within 45 mins, small 5 footer. From then on I don't think we went more than 45 mins without a fish. Total at the end of the day was 7 Bluedogs caught, the biggest being an easy 11feet. We also dropped 4 or 5 other fish that we nevere saw. No Makos or Threshers, but we did hear a few were caught further to the west. We had 2 small pods of football bluefins come jumping through throughout the day as well. Threw some stuff at them, but no hookups. All in all, great weather, great fishing, and great company.
Now that sounds like a fun day. Those big bluedogs can put up a nice fight- plus they're fun at the side of the boat when they do their crocodile impression
