Sea trials at the Miami Show

    Great show-
    Great weather

Sea trial on Seekeeper Gyro Boat-Seeing is beleaving-eliminates roll by up to 80%!

Yellowfin 36 Trip 300 Vrods-hit 55 thru Gov Cut and 68 on way back in.
This boat blew my mind-dry and never once pounded.

SeaVee 34 300 Yammis-beautiful boat and great company. Got to meet Jose.

If you have never been -make it a point to go next year.

Depends on what size you need?
Smaller one is more like $70k.
Then you have to figure install-usually 20-30K.

I believe this will change boating as we know it.
Roll reduction can be reduced up to 80 %.
They work at rest/on the drift which I think would be ideal for the canyon junkies.

I have some video of the two trips I went on-but not sure how to post here.
    Seeing is believing!
PM me if your interested and I can forward.

The Canyon Runner guys have been using one for over a year.

I guess if you're spending $2 million for a 65 ft Jarrett Bay, you don't really care about $100k for a stabilizer.

Very cool idea and I'd love to see the video.

I will have video at the NE Boat Show for you to check out.
We will also have a gyro at the NE Boat show.
I will also have a mini boat in a tank with a gyro as a simulator.
Please stop by the MacDougalls' booth 142 and say hello.

    Thanks
    Tim

I have fished on a few boats with these gyro's. One was the canyon runner. It is amazing how well they work. I fish on a 76' Viking that has a huge one in it and you wouldn't believe how level it keeps the boat. You can put a can on the covering boards and it will stay there all day. The sound takes a little getting used to but by no means is it offensive. with the gyro on you can't hang jigs off the riggers when chunking cause the boat doesn't rock. It is hard to get used to watching the waves roll in and anticipating the rock and then there is none. I stumbled a few times standing still on a boat that wasn't rocking lol.

    Gusto-
    Interesting stuff!
I was on a 43 Viking last week in Miami-
I couldnt stand in the bridge when we went beam to the seas.
When the Seakeeper was on I could stand and didnt need to hold on!

    Thanks for your post
    Tim

Tim - that was a cool display w/ the model boat. The Gyro is impressive. Hope it's been a good show for you - we were there on Sun. jc
