Block to Hatteras
The warm water system off the coast of Rhode Island and Connecticut is beginning to move off the coast. The high water is now 20 cm above sea level right off the coast, with the highest water now about 10 nm off shore. There is a slight sea surface depression of -5 cm below sea level right off the north-eastern side of Long Island. The rest of the coast to Cape Hatteras is relatively flat. Poor satellite coverage has blocked data for most of the North Atlantic Bite, but there is some chlorophyll productivity in the Delaware inlet.
