Sad state of affairs, IMO. Bottom line is that the US is not doing the damage-the eurotrash are. To have comm guys-and I think personally that the "comm guys" making noise on this thread are really just wannabe trolls who can't do shit-and rec guys at each other is counter-productive. I know real commercial guys-most of the high liners, in fact-and they don't hate rec fishermen at all as these dorks are trying to protray. All they ask is to be left alone and that you don't give them the old "Cape Cod Bay jump-fuck". As someone else said, it's their living. At the end of the day, we either stand together or we all fall apart...

Wow!!! just like high school...Mark good for you being retired (if that is the case) i can't wait till i can retire!!! then i will fish everyday... all i know is that i am over this fight although its fun to read. its all BS. as the rules change the fights will change 73 inch 65 inches 100 inches what ever you pick someone will always say that rec guys are not as good as comm guys and the ther way around. and i don't know why i just don't see it. the law is the law deal with it... think like an adult for a just a minute...change the regs for the US and when the fish migrate they will just be killed there. the US Rec tuna fishermen are not the cause of the down turn of the BFT population. but go ahead and change the regs here. we need to then hopefully others will follow. i don't doubt that the population is dropping so do what needs to be done. so we can fish for BFT for years to come. i don't what to see the fishing stoped by the Gov any more then anybody else that likes to go fishing for fun or for $$ but i can say that everyone that i know and ill bet every fishermen on this site will change habbits and follow the laws set in place to save the BFT. AS WE DO NOW!!!! and yes know that someone is going to say that rec guys take more then they need and maybe some do and some take more then legal and that may be true also and some people just need to use some self control. i personally agree that 10, 65 inch fish in one season is sort of over doing it. but i won't stop anyone from doing it its legal and thats fine, i would not do it but like i said that is my choice (so dont claim that i am bashing anyone cause thats not what i am about) and to each his own. on the whole rec guys are just out to have fun. and comm guys just want to make money and we all need the fish to do so . we should all support the fish and each others rights to fish for fun and for a living. i feel that tagging 99% of the fish that i catch i am doing my part to help both sides of the fight. go have fun or make money. research will save the BFT.
