Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
RIP Bob Samuelson
Two nights ago Bob Samuelson passed away while fishing on the cape. He worked at Red Top for 10+ years before most recently working at Falmouth Bait and Tackle. He was an avid surf fisherman and a regular at the canal.
Though I only got to know him recently I never heard a bad thing about him. He greeted everyone he met with a smile and enthusiasm. He passed away doing what he loved, unfortunately at the young age of 43.
Prayers and thoughts go to his family, close friends, co-workers(current and present)

Sorry to hear it! I never met the man but called Falmouth B&T about a month ago on a Sat morning to see if they had some lures in stock I was looking for and spoke with Bob. He found them and when I told him I lived in CT offered to ship them to me. Gave him my Visa # and forgot about it. When I got home Monday they were waiting for me and my wife said he had called to see if they arrived OK. I was surprised they were there because he said how busy they were when we spoke so I assumed he would ship them Monday. I called him back to thank him and he said he ran out and shipped them on his lunch break. Took a 45 lb yellow with one 2 days later. Will ask the Lord to allow him passage to the good fishing grounds tonite....

Bite me
Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. Curious did he have an accident while fishing or was it some type of medical issue???

Back in the late 80's, early 90's I ran cod trips on the Capt. John boats. "Sammy" was the head crew member I would always request. He was the guy you wanted on board in any situation whether it was weather related, mechanical or just plain treating every customer with respect and being as helpful as a person could be. Sammy never would miss the 2 day Cashes Ledge trips as the "salt" absolutely ran in his veins. Sammy introduced many and helped many more to fishing. He was an ambassador of the sport and will be sorely missed by many.
God bless ya Sammy.

Very sad news for certain
Bob was a tremendous asset to all of us that had the good fortune to meet him. He simply never had a bad day, always helped with information, rigging, or simply pointing someone in the right direction.
May he rest in peace.
God bless his family in this time.

Sit down Shut up And fish
I had just met Bob this summer when he started working at Falmouth Bait and Tackle. Could not have been a nicer guy and always smiling. I wish I got to know him better, he will be missed.

Wow, just put the face with the name. Very Sad, I remember Bob from when he worked at Red Top and had wondered where he had ended up. Condolences to his family and loved ones.
