RI Mudhole/Fairway bouy report
Got out early am,but we missed the sunrise, and got lines in around 600.Water was 2 degrees either side of 70 all day.We went 1 for 2,on bft estimated at 30 lbs.
We saw 2 bluesharks getting some sun,one of which was a monster. Also saw a leatherback turtle, with a head the size of a trashcan,a few Minke whales, and a big whale I'm not positive, maybe a Finback. Fish was landed on a green machine, behind a bird, fish lost was on a 6 inch blk/purple jethead spreader bar.We had another fish explode on a bird/green machine, but he missed. The water(unfortunately)was FAC,and we were alone most of the day,we were expecting a parking lot.Anyhow,it was a great day out,and since it was our first tuna trip this year,we're just glad not to get the skunk. |

Yeah, maybe. We're looking for bigger fish,I was thinking of the Cape.We haven't done it before,so we're unsure if we should trailer or steam.Money is always an object, unfortunately.
